The former Milwaukee Road depot in Marmarth, North Dakota has been moved away from the tracks and currently sits on blocks alongside U.S. Highway 12. An interesting statistic about Marmarth is that it lies within Slope County, which, with a 2000 population of 767, is the least populous county in North Dakota and the fourteenth least populous county in the United States. The only other city in the county, Amidon, is the county seat and has a 2000 population of just 26, making it the second least populous county seat in the United States. |

BNSF 5705 |
Description: |
The end of an empty coal train (BNSF E-CRDJRM) continues past the north siding switch at Dalhart, Texas as it heads northwest into the plains of the extreme northwestern part of the Texas panhandle. The blue thing on the side of the BNSF 5705 seemed to be an air conditioner taken off of a Conrail locomotive. |

BNSF 5895 |
Description: |
With its crew about to die on hours, a loaded coal train (BNSF C-CAMSLP) pulls into the siding at Kerrick, Texas, just across the border from Oklahoma. In fact, only about the first fourth of this train is in Texas - the rest is in Oklahoma. This train wasn't going into the siding to meet another train (the Boise City Subdivision is a directional line), but rather was going to be tied down until a new crew could board and head south to Amarillo, Texas. |

BNSF 9647 |
Description: |
After only about 5 years and a few thousand miles of traveling, I finally met up with the one-of-a-kind BNSF 9647. Here it is in Stratford, Texas at the end of a coal train (BNSF C-ATMMLT) passing over the crossing between the BNSF Boise City Subdivision and the UP Pratt Subdivision. |
