Description:
Although not one of the prettiest Mikados ever built, this Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific 2-8-2 #2591 served in both passenger and freight service for nearly 34 years. Specs - K-60 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 332,230 lb and tractive effort of 63,467 lb. The loco was retired and sold for scrap in September of 1952.
