Motley mix |
Description: |
Conrail, as a rule in its later days, generally ran a fairly unified power consist-a set of six axle units, sometimes four, depending on what was available, and what standard practice was. Occasionally, something would get out of kilter, and it became anything goes. Here we see an OIBU rolling west with a GP 38 leading an SD 50, and a pair of NS units, one GE, one EMD. They have their 99 cars well in hand, and will get over the road promptly. |
