CNW 4-6-2 #583 - Chicago & North Western         
This was a solid, dependable 4-6-2 that served the Chicago & North Western for over 41 years. Built by Alco-Schenectady in April of 1913 as CNW #1583, it was later renumbered to CNW 583 in 1952. No disposition date was found. Specs - class E, 75" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt 261,000 lb, tractive effort of 36,700 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
