| Numerous Chessie System GP40s of B&O, C&O and WM heritage were leased by the ATSF from 1979-1980 with many having the first digit of their road number temporarily renumbered from a 3 or 4 to a 9 and then renumbered back before return. This unit shows signs of being leased to the ATSF and renumbered 9726 and renumbered back to it's original number upon lease return. |
