PRR 2872, H-9S, c. 1946         
Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2872, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an H-8B during 1910, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-8SB in February of 1918, later rebuilt as an H-9S, and retired in September of 1952 after 42 years of faithful service. Wave to the Engineman! The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. John S. Fisher Collection; #5 of 30.
