PRR 6508, GF-25A, 1967         
Altoona Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Passenger Station in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during May of 1967. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6508 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. #6508 is a GF-25A built by General Electric in April of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They're passing under the new 12th Street Footbridge on their way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points West.
