Tom Beckett General Of the handful ov units that got the disco scheme, the silver...um, platinum mist...were better looking. There were at least two, 4323 and 4334, that were white with the stripes. That was pretty stark, and reminiscent of the KCS E's in their last days. The U34CH scheme, I think, looked best on these engines, if you couldn't have them in their original owner's livery, though looking at the unit behind 4257 here, it's hard to make a case for that. BTW, the next unit is one of the three E 7's that survived long enough to get into NJ Transit, though I'm not sure if any ever turned a wheel for them. I never saw one running. Another unit I missed was CR 4014, which was EL 825, and stayed in EL paint with patches til it was retired. Great album, it's bringing back a lot of memories. 3/12/2018 4:31:33 AM
