This is the first of twelve rebuilds of the former G-3 class locos done by the Chicago Great Western shops done between 1927-30. Larger 26" cylinder and thermic syphons were installed with an overall improved tractive effort of 54,700 lb. All Consolidations were retired between 1930-50. No photographer listed.
