| Near MP 20.5 on the Old Main Line Subdivision a mile or so east of Woodstock I came across this interesting rather large B&O stone culvert. CSX has stablized both portals and maintains two CWR tracks over the arch. The Old Main Lines main track and the 1.9 mile Davis passing siding. If Ive read the lay of the adjacent park land in the area this stone work likely pre-dates the c1905 realignment. Looking at the ballast Id hazard a guess that the track today is several feet above the origional grade. /DL |
