Rich Monahan General I thought I knew the CNJ real well, but I didn't realize that CNJ GP40Ps were "assigned" to South Amboy. I thought the GPs merely ran Jersey Builders back and forth from Newark to Bay Head. This photo suggests that they were used to run ex-Pennsy trains south of Amboy after they took the GG1s off. Granted, it was Conrail by '77, so makes sense, but I thought that didn't start until it was NJ Transit. 10/19/2020 3:48:59 PM
