The Diamond! The line from the right with the tank cars was originally part of the Hartford, Providence and Fishkill Railroad, and became part of the New Haven's Midland Division. The portion between Washington, (Coventry) Rhode Island and Plainfield, Connecticut was torn-up. The Rhode Island section lastly operated by the Providence and Worcester became the Washington Secondary Track, with the Connecticut section becoming the Plainfield Secondary Track. 8/1/2011 the branch is newly rebuilt with new ties and rail. Now active to Willimantic and interchange with the New England Central, general freight and ethanol. The track with the box cars was originally the Norwich and Worcester Railroad which is now part of the Providence and Worcester
