Very nice, but what's the deal with the backward American Flag?

The flag is backwards , most likely, for the same reason that they are backwards on military equipment. It is supposed to look like it is being blown that way as the engine, soldier, tank, or plane charges ahead. It is supposed to look like aflag would if someone was running with a real flag.

When flags are painted on equipment it is suppose to be a mirror image. Where was the picture taken, it does not look like College Station

Ed, this is along Wellborn Road north of the TAMU campus, between Texas Avenue and Villa Maria.

The flag isn't backwards, it's painted so that way it looks like it's waving with the direction of forward motion. Same as the flag shoulder patches in the military. If it was painted with the blue in the upper left, it would look like the train (or soldiers w/patch) were retreating.

When this unit was being prepared for its WB movement to College Station for the opening of the Library, the toilet, like ALL toilets in the ACE series, was malfunctioning...and the Engineer assigned to take the train to Clinton IA refused to use the 4141 as the leader. Just like Bush I's 'leadership' ! !
