| Southern Pacific Railroad GP35R 6326 at Tucson, Arizona on November 21, 1985, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in February 1964 ( c/n 28877 ) as SP 7450, it was renumbered to 6562 in 1965, rebuilt by the Canadian National around 1979 to GP35R 6326, later becoming DMVW 6326. One GP35 was rebuilt by SP as a prototype to draw up plans for outside contractors, that locomotive became 6300. Locomotives 6302-6323 and 6353-6361 were rebuilt by Morrison-Knudsen, and designated GP35E. Locomotives 6324-6352 were rebuilt by the Canadian National and designated GP35R. |
