Plan 4140 10-roomette/6-double-bedroom sleeper UNION COUNTY leaving New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal on the northbound PANAMA LIMITED. The car was built by Pullman-Standard in September 1949 as Pennsylvania Railroad 8349, for use on Atlantic Coast Line trains. It was assigned Penn Central number 4380, and then became Amtrak 2796 in 1974. After retirement by Amtrak in 1977, it went to Mexico as SCD (Servicio de Coches Dormitorios y Conexos) 721 OCEANIA. |
