This is actually an Algoma Railroad engine, a tourist operation. The A&W stopped operating it's own trains in 1972

I like the bi-directional horns. Looks like a P5 for short hood operation and an M3 for when long-hood forward. If Mid-Continent ever restores this diesel to service, I'd like to see/hear a setup like that again!

I happened across this photo today as I currently reside in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin, not too far from Algoma. I then research this tourist operation further, And came across this interesting website that gives the entire history of the fairly short life of this railroad. It also mentions that this locomotive Kanell be seen at the midcontinent real museum in Nu freedom Wisconsin, which is on my list of places to visit next spring when it reopens.
