Title:  CB&Q XM-32C 19085
Description:  CB&Q class XM-32C 19085 at Cicero, Illinois onm an unknown day in November 1979, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Starting in 1940, the CB&Q eventually built 16,025 of these class XM-32 40' steel boxcars at Havelock, Nebraska, assembling components from Youngstown Steel Door Co. and Standard Railway Equipment. Construction of this particular batch began in late 1950, a total of 1500 XM-32C's were built, numbered in the CB&Q 18400-19399 series (1,000 were built for the for the CB&Q, 250 for each of the subsidiaries, C&S 1250-1499 and FW&D 8751-9000). This particular series included the improved Dreadnaught ends with the rectangular top rib. The CB&Q XM-32C's were assigned BN #'s 199700-199799, although it's unlikely they were ever applied.
