CB&Q Class HT-13D 161438
Title:  CB&Q Class HT-13D 161438
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Class HT-13D 161438 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in September 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. The following is from the book, CB&Q Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, by Michael J. Spoor: The last order for 400 quad hoppers arrived from Bethlehem during January and February 1969. These cars, classified HT-13D and numbered 161100 - 161499, were lettered in the pre-merger Helvetica font with the word "BURLINGTON" in capital letters and a space left below the word for "NORTHERN". The Burlington Route herald was eliminated on the HT-13Ds. The higher sides resulted in a capacity of 3,483 cu. ft.
