Title:  GMTX 2289
Description:  Two Geeps drift back towards Cadiz Yard to pick up waiting cars before returning home base in UP's Miller Yard in South Dallas. GMTX 2289 recently joined the GATX fleet and now wears the current GATX blue and white paint scheme with the website address on the hood. This locomotive was delivered to Penn Central as GP38-2 7995 in July 1972, joining Conrail wearing the same number until lease expiration and then retrurned to EMD. With a large group of former PC/Conrail GP38-2s EMD leased these locomotives with this particular Geep becoming EMDX 795 until being placed on a long term lease to Union Pacific becoming UP 1938, then renumbered UP 438. After UP banished all leased power from their roster this locomotive became LLPX 2289 until joining GATX becoming GMTX 2289 and receiving a fresh coat of blue and white paint on December 19, 2013.
