Here is a photo via Paul W. Prescott that was taken at the Passenger Station in Ebenezer, New York, on 4 July 1951. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3583, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1917 and retired in April of 1958 after 41 years of faithful service. In this context, it's powering one of the Pennsy's famous "Off-The-Beaten-Track" excursions. "All ABOARD!" Gary Mittner Collection.
