Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad Baldwin VO-1000 9357 eastbound at about Cermak Road and Throop Street in Chicago, Illinois on March 28, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This is the only other shot I have of this train in this location. I believe the number on the building on the far right reads: 1308 The Industrial Etectors Inc., which would make the cross street Throop. |

Description: |
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad VO-1000 9357 at Clyde, Illinois on May 9, 1965, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in November 1943 (c/n 70120) it was traded in February 1966. The blob in the sky is a plane taking off from O'Hare Airport. Also of interest is the panel truck in the background, complete the the Burlington Route logo on the door. Also, the dirt in the sky is a plane landing at Midway Airport. |

The word BURLINGTON has replaced the EVERYWHERE WEST slogan that once appeared on this side of the locomotive, evidence of that slogan still shows in the form of fabricated metal strips welded over the louvers below and behind the last N in BURLINGTON. |
