Description: |
You can see I80 in the background, proving how wide Echo Canyon is. Along with I80 is a paved, well maintained road that parallels the track for about 5 miles. |

Description: |
Perhaps my favorite Echo shot. The trees block I80 thus giving this shot an feeling of being removed from civilization. |

UP 4948 entering the leaving Weber Canyon |
Description: |
Get use to this train; the hard grade on Evanston allows from trains to be cased with ease. This was the only eastbounder to come before 10:30, so we cased it Evanston, producing about 10 shots. |

UP 6447 in Weber Canyon |
Description: |
The Weber River weaves back and forth around the track leading to many (at least 7) of these cool old UP divided bridges. Along this the bridges, old UP singals and 3 tunnels make this a very fun and unqiue line to railfan. |

This line is like a model railroad; this train is currently on two bridges and one tunnel. In about 30 seconds, it will enter a second tunnel. More power to the UP enginnering crew! |

UP 4948 in the heart of Echo Canyon |
Description: |
While Echo isn't as tight a canyon as Weber, the massive Sandstone walls in the background made this a common place for UP company photographers to take shots of the famous City of LA, among others. |
