| Album Info: | I spent the day railfanning in the Albany area with fellow contributor Jack Jakeman today. Our mission was a complete success! We started and ended the day at PanAm's yard at Rotterdam Jct. You can see some of the best grabs in my album titled: Special trips in New York State.......photos dated 2/23/2013. We hit just about all of the major checkpoints in the area; Mohawk Yard, Mechanicville, Eagle Bridge, The Port of Albany, Kenwood and Colonie yards, and many other places in between. Anyway, when we got back to the PanAm yard at the end of the day, we saw something that we never thought we would see on a Saturday........local job RJ-2 switching tankers at Schenectady International! And, I gotta say, the power-set on this one was REALLY nice!!! |
