Album Info:Osceola and St Croix Valley Railroad--- It was late in the day when we stopped in the yard at the old Soo Line depot in Osceola, Wisconsin!!! We were on our way home from seeing "the grandkids" in Minneapolis and were heading back to the farmland and the small towns of west central Wisconsin in the tree covered limestone hills east of the great river valley of the Upper Mississippi that with the St Croix River divides between Minnesota and Wisconsin!!! It was NOT the way that I remember things because the last time that I had been here was 40+ years ago--- before Amtrak and the Burlington Northern!!! Was it better now or then?! Perhaps in someways yes and in someways no!!! It was/ is a long drive, so I feel "lucky" when I can get a break and let Beth take a few pictures!!! It would seem that she is pretty good!!! She likes trains and she likes me--- it just can't get much better than this!!!

Description:  if you mighs happen to notice the initials, i believe that they read MNTX71!!! the Osceola and St Croix Valley is part of the Minnesota Transportation Museum--- and a BN caboose is.a BN caboose!!! There are NOT many left!!!

Description:  the train order signal told train and enginemen if there were any orders from the dispatcher!!! if this signdl was NOT clear then a train would NOT leave without a clearance from the operator issued by the dispatcher which might or might not contain any orders which could be a meet wiwh an opposing train!!! when running in opposite directions on single track this would be a signal that you would NOT want to miss!!!
