Description:  Norfolk and Western's 611 doubleheaded with Savannah and Atlanta 750 from Alexandria to Richmond. We caught up with 611 at Penola, and chased her all the way to Richmond. Here, 611 rests at Bryan Park. For unknown reasons, 750 and the FP7 helpers continued on to the Southern's Hull St. Yard in South Richmond. Exact date unknown.

Description:  This beautiful Light USRA Pacific came down from Alexandria in front of N&W 611. For some reason, 611 cut off at the Richmond Amtrak Station, while 750 continued on to Southern's Hull Street Yard in South Richmond. Exact date unknown.

Description:  Some of the old Tobacco warehouses in the Bottoms. Many of these have been turned in very expensive loft-style apartments. There was a time when both the C&O and Southern rolled down the middle of that street, but now I don't think those rails have seen a steel wheel in many years.

Description:  The only place in the world where three different lines cross each other. Well, used to anyway. From top to bottom, C&O, SAL, and Southern. Southbound coal rolls over the old S-line to one of the VEPCo power plants. Barely visible to the right is the yellow caution tape marking where an earlier derailment took out a section of the old bridge.
